Temporary Tiny Clinic Helps Keep Patients Accessing Care

January 21, 2022

Infinity Health (formerly known as Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa) had an eventful first week of 2022. As they officially launched their new name and brand, they also faced challenges as a water pipe burst at their clinic in Leon causing extensive damage. As always, they persevered and are excited to share the opening of a temporary tiny clinic!

This small medical clinic, located right in their parking lot, will allow patients to continue to access medical services as they work to repair the damage from the flood. Their full clinic is on target to reopen in March.

When the pipe burst in early January, many community health centers and partners responded quickly to a call from Infinity Health for mobile units to continue access for care for their patients. Infinity Health shares their gratitude to Community Health Care, Primary Health Care, Proteus, Siouxland Community Health Center, Iowa PCA staff, and a number of local partners for their quick response and for their partnership!

We’re so proud of Infinity Health and how they’ve faced this adversity. Despite the challenge, they’ve developed a really innovative solution with their tiny clinic. Great work to the Infinity Health team!
