Enhancing Iowa’s Safety Net

The Iowa Primary Care Association (Iowa PCA) supports Iowa's community health centers (CHCs) and Iowa’s Behavioral Health Delivery System. With an ongoing commitment to expanding access to quality, affordable, and accessible primary and preventive healthcare services, we work to support individuals and communities in reaching their full health potential.

With our two sister companies – IowaHealth+, a clinically integrated network owned and managed by 11 Iowa CHCs and the Iowa PCA dedicated to providing payor agnostic and value-based care while furthering the unique mission of CHCs and INConcertCare, our health information technology organization that provides essential technology and data support to Iowa’s CHCs – we provide a wide range of supports and are strong partners throughout the healthcare system.

Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organization

(BH-ASO)

The Iowa PCA is excited to serve as the statewide Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organization (BH-ASO) to support Iowa Health and Human Services, local providers, other key stakeholders, and all Iowans to transform the delivery of behavioral health services in our state.

Comprehensive Care

Community health centers are the nation’s largest primary care system serving over $28 million annually. Through an integrated care model, including medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof and regardless of income or insurance.

Purpose-Focused Careers

The Iowa PCA, BH-ASO, and our member community health centers offer a wide range of employment opportunities for various backgrounds and abilities, comprehensive benefits, and purposed-focused careers. Opportunities include medical, dental, behavioral health, operations, front desk staff, social work, outreach, communications, etc. as well as apprenticeships and training opportunities.

Statewide Collaboration

The Iowa PCA is at the forefront of promoting and enhancing community health and behavioral health. By bringing together various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community leaders, and policymakers, we collaborate to address the unique health challenges that communities face. By focusing on prevention, early intervention, and comprehensive care, we aim to improve individual health outcomes and foster resilient, thriving communities.
